Olwyn tipped as favourite to win RTE All-Ireland Talent Show

A SINGER with strong Roscommon connections has become the new favourite to win the All-Ireland Talent Show, according to Boylesports. Olwyn Murray, from Ballyhaunis is now the favourite at 10/3 to win the RTE 1 show, having made her way to the semi-final stage of the competition.
She is the proud granddaughter of Sean and Mary McNeill from Roscommon town and niece of Liam, Padraig, Gerry and Paul McNeill, Ethel Keenan, Helena Quinn and Eileen McNeill, Bríd McNeill, Mary McNeill and Áine McNeill and Michelle McNeill.
Olwyns lives in Ballyhaunis and is the daughter of Breda and Adrian Murray. In 2009 she represented Ireland. in the World Championships of Preforming Arts and won no less than 5 gold medals in her individual vocal categories and is a member of Ballina Based Vocal Group RIALTA who was crowned Vocal Group World Champions. She recently played 'Sandy' in the Broadway Musical Grease with Ballyhaunis Community School.
“Olwyn Murray has certainly proved her popularity with fans this week by becoming the 10/3 favourite. She will now cost us a five figure sum if she goes on to win the competition," commented Nicola McGeady, Entertainment Spokesperson for Boylesports.
Like her uncles, Liam and Padraig, Olwyn also plays Gaelic Football with the local St. Mary's GAA club and plays at full-forward for the club.
When she is not singing and playing football she works in the family business, The Clock in Ballyhaunis.
